Dyane Smart Kanban
Medical equipment management

Dyane SmartKanban®

The Dyane SmartKanban® is a smart solution for managing consumables stored in double-drawer racking systems. It optimises replenishment circuits thanks to the combination of RFID technology and information technologies.

Description

Aimed at both independent hospitals and hospital groups supplied by logistics operators, its main areas of use are in hospital ward storage, where logistics and order management tasks are carried out manually and overstocking and stock-outs are frequent.

Together with our DYANE software, the BK200 Plus mailbox is the most complete logistics management solution when integrated with the hospital information system (HIS).

The Dyane SmartKanban system uses RFID cards placed in the baskets of modular shelving in hospital ward storage, managed under the Kanban principle. A double compartment system is used to show the need and urgency to replenish materials depending on whether they are located in the first compartment (white card / normal order) or the second compartment (orange card / urgent order), respectively.

Implementing this management process at healthcare unit consumption points allows hospitals to optimise their storage capacities, apply the FIFO (first in, first out) principle to eliminate out-of-date stock, and achieve the goal of “order equal to consumption”.
